<p>Myth one &#8211; if you take a certain supplement it will create abs to be proud of. In actual fact there is no supplement that will help you to get abs to be envious of. So steer clear of any costly product that promises this to you.</p>
<p>Myth two &#8211; to get great abs you have to spend hours every day in the gym. Whilst you do need to spend some time workout each day you will not have to work out for hours on end. If you have a good set of abs building exercises you have the foundation of achieving those amazing abs.</p>
<p>Myth three &#8211; you need to go on a crash diet to reveal your abs. This is absolutely not true. Dieting will not suddenly create abs for you, it will just help you to lose weight very quickly. Losing weight and not eating the correct amount and types of food when exercising can be very harmful. Make sure that you are eating and drink enough for your body and level of exercise.</p>
<p>Myth four &#8211; it is possible to achieve great abs through surgery. It is possible to get surgery to give you abs, but they are not true abs. They are not the abs that you will get through working out and a carefully planned diet. Anyone looking for abs to be proud of needs to understand that really there are no quick fixes when it comes to their abs.</p>
<p>Myth five &#8211; once you have abs to make others envious you do not need to maintain your shape. Once again this is a total myth. Ceasing your workouts will eventually lead to your abs disappearing and you being back to where you were to start with. To maintain your abs you need to put in the time and effort to do so.</p>
<p>Myth six &#8211; you can easily create great abs with a machine. Yes, these abs machines can help you to work the abdominal muscles, but just using these alone will not help you to improve your abs at all. You can&#8217;t simply sit back and let a machine do all the work for you, abs take time and dedication. SO be prepared to put these in.</p>

<p>Sure, the understanding of how to get the six pack abs is simple; however motivating yourself to do the work that is involved is another thing. If you are someone who truly wants to have this kind of look you are going to need a few things. These things are imperative if you want any chance at success and they are willpower, dedication, time, and patience.</p>
<p>With the right commitment, you will eventually see that your efforts have in fact paid off, but you just can&#8217;t expect instant results. One of the two things that you will have to do is work on building muscle. The other thing that you will need to do, is work on losing fat.</p>
<p>When you are trying to lose fat and gain muscle, it is very important that you eat right. This means that every pound that you have, is the amount in grams that you should eat in protein. When you are eating protein, it should be things like turkey, chicken, fish, lean meats, eggs, protein drinks and bars, as well as milk and other things. You should also eat a lot of vegetables, but keep fruit to moderation.</p>
<p>The carbohydrates that you eat should be of the starchy kind, like brown rice and other high fiber foods. You should not eat junk food, since you want to limit the amount of fat that you eat. In addition, make sure to eat small meals every few hours or a snack, along with lots of water throughout the day.</p>
<p>Cardio is something that you should definitely do at least three times a week for thirty minutes. In the case that you are trying to lose fat however, you should increase the amount of times that you do it during the week. This is the best way to lose fat.</p>
<p>As for gaining muscle on the abs, you should not work on training that area more than two to three times a week. The reason for this, has to do with the muscles responding less, as well as the chance of damaging the muscles by not allowing them enough rest. Resistance exercises are a good way to lose fat and can be done on a number of different types of equipment at a gym.</p>
<p>Make sure you do at least 15 reps on all areas of the stomach, such as leg raises, sit ups on an inclined bench, cable crunches, side bend (you can do at home), and hyper extension. When you want to build up on the transverse area, sucking in your stomach helps to keep the muscle contracted. With many of the exercises mentioned, you can find them in detail over the internet, so that you can make sure that you are doing the exercises correctly and will be on your way to six pack abs.</p>

<p>You need to consider several thing when choosing the correct equipment. You should not be deceived into buying fancy equipment which you do not really need. You can do some research about abdominal exercise machines and workout equipment before you buy them. The selected equipment must be easy to move and easily detachable.</p>
<p>Consult  with a doctor first regarding injuries and medical conditions. Make sure to follow the manufacturer&#8217;s instructions for maintaining the machine.</p>

These easy six pack abs tips will help you during your workout.</p>
<h4>Crunches</h4>
<p>This exercise targets the upper abdomen.  It&#8217;s one of the basic but effective exercises. To perform crunches, you need to lie on a flat surface with your hands in your chest or behind you head.  Contract your abs, then hold for 2 seconds, then return to your lying position.  Proper crunches are in a continuous and controlled fashion.  Concentrate on your abdominal muscles to pull your upper body up.  Avoid using the neck or shoulders to push yourself up.  This incorrect practice will cause stress and strains.</p>
<h4>Side Crunches</h4>
<p>They are basically the same as regular  crunches, except that the main focus is on the oblique muscles which are also called love handles.  It also uses the same technique, only that you are crunching to either side of our abs.  This would burn the sides of your abs.</p>
<h4>Lying Leg Lifts</h4>
<p>This exercise targets the lower abs. You lie flat on your back and lift your legs six to twelve inches of the ground. This would exercise the muscles in the lower part of the abdomen. When performing leg lifts, place your hand under your buttock.</p>
<h4>V- Crunches</h4>
<p>It&#8217;s almost similar to lying leg lifts except your chest is at a 45 degree angle starting out. Sit at the edge of a bench and reach back just enough to support yourself from completely lying on the bench.  Once you&#8217;ve stabilized, bring your knees toward your chest.  You would be creating a V motion.  The base of the V would be your abs.</p>
<h4>Cat stretch</h4>
<p>Get down on the floor with your hands and knees, with muscles relaxed and looking straight ahead.  Next, tighten your abdominal muscles while thrusting you back upward as far as you can.  Maintain the position for five counts before lowering your back.</p>
<h4>Bicycle Crunch</h4>
<p>To do this, start y lying flat on the floor. Put your hand beside your head then raise knees up to 45 degrees angle and them perform a pedaling motion like what you do when you ride a bicycle.</p>
<h4>Standing Side Bends</h4>
<p>Standing side bends encourages the loss of fats in the oblique muscles. To start, stand up straight with the stomach sucked in, legs straight and hands on the sides. Simply lean the body from left to right being careful not to rotate the hips and while keeping  body facing front. There is a variety of side bends, this is the torso twists.  Instead of bending side to side twist or rotate the upper body from left to right while keeping the legs straight.</p>

<p>Weight is one indicator. But weight is also not reliable. Doctors use body mass index or BMI to measure or judge a person&#8217;s size against weight. BMI is a calculation of kilograms/meter squared.  A BMI between 18 to 25 is healthy. But someone who is very fit and muscular could have a BMI greater than 25. This would classify them ass overweight.</p>
<p>Body shape can also be an indicator of good health. Doctors are looking at waist measurements because they know that &#8220;apple-shape&#8221; people carry excess weight around their middle. These people can be at risk of obesity-related conditions such as heart disease. If your waistline is larger than 35 inches, you are at an increased risk of health problems like diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.</p>
<p>Other health indicators would be the skin. Tan, freckles or moles that are odd shaped or growing, this probably mean an unhealthy skin. Tanning or sun exposure an age the skin and increase the risk of skin cancer. Use sunscreen and get a dermatologist opinion about spots and moles.</p>
<p>When brushing your teeth, check your spit.  If there is blood, your gums may need attention.  Bleeding gums indicate poor oral health and vitamin deficiencies. Gum disease may also be a sign of cardiovascular problems. Blood on the toothbrush or dental floss is one of the earliest and most common sign of gingivitis. Gingivitis is preventable and reversible. People with gumdisease and tooth decay are almost twice as likely to die of heart attacks and almost three times as likely to have a stroke.</p>
<p>Also, feel your lips. If your lips are dry and chapped, it could signal to you that you are dehydrated, which is an unhealthy state for your body to be in. Dehydration can cause headaches and fatigue, as well as drain the moisture from your skin making it look old and dry.</p>
<p>Nail problems can indicate viral, fungal, bacterial or yeast infection. It may also show abnormal levels of oxygen in the blood, kidney disease, thyroid disease or psoriasis and malnutrition or a vitamin deficiency.</p>
<p>You do not have to depend only on six pack abs, biceps or lats to say something about your health and other people&#8217;s health.  There are several indicators that you should never ignore.</p>
